Q: What inspired you to start writing your first novel?
A: Another book called The Book of Evidence by John Banville.
Q: What’s your favorite part about connecting with readers during events like this?
A: Public interviews with a good q and a with a moderator.
Q: Do you have a favorite writing spot or ritual when working on a book?
A: I lie on the sofa with my head raised on the arm rest and the laptop on my knees.
I don’t eat until I’ve written a thousand words.
Q: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to avid readers?
A: No screens in the bedroom. It eats up your reading time.
Q: Who are the top three authors you read without question?
A: Robyn Harding, Donna Tartt and Sebastian Barry.
