Activities / Experiences

Hiking
The region of Corinthia is one of Greece’s finest hiking destinations — and it begins right at your doorstep. From coastal paths along the Gulf of Corinth to mountain trails with sweeping views of ancient vineyards and volcanic peaks, the landscape rewards every kind of walker. Nearby trails lead to the medieval fortress of Akrocorinth, the lush Moggostos Forest, and the dramatic heights of Mount Dourdouvana above Lake Doxa.
Whether you prefer a gentle 3 km stroll through wildflower meadows or a challenging 14 km ascent, we can arrange guided hikes tailored to your group — combining natural beauty, local history, and the simple joy of moving through this extraordinary corner of the Peloponnese.
Boating
Set sail directly from the beach for an unforgettable journey across the Gulf of Corinth — a Natura 2000 protected sea teeming with marine life. Snorkel among underwater caves and Posidonia meadows, discover secluded bays and the ancient temple of Hera at Perachora, and keep an eye out for the rare striped dolphins that call these protected waters home. A perfect way to add a touch of adventure and wonder to your retreat day.

Open Water Swimming
The calm, clear waters of the Gulf of Corinth make Sykia an exceptional base for open water swimming from May to October. Whether you’re a casual swimmer or a seasoned athlete, daily routes of up to 3 miles are available, with the spectacular option of swimming across the Gulf itself. Combine your swim with a guided hike, a yoga session, or simply float back to shore knowing the sea is right at your doorstep.
Greek Cooking
Food is one of the most intimate ways to connect with a culture — and this hands-on workshop brings that to life. Learn to prepare a full four-course traditional Greek meal using fresh, local ingredients, guided step by step through each recipe. From veggie moussaka to orange pie, you’ll cook together, eat together, and leave with the recipes to take home. A nourishing, joyful addition to any retreat day.

Nature Practice in Sykia
The village of Sykia is naturally gifted — a sandy beach and a fragrant pine forest sit right at your doorstep, offering two of the most beautiful outdoor settings imaginable for yoga, meditation, or Qigong practice. The hotel can arrange guided sessions directly in nature, so your retreat extends well beyond the terrace and into the landscape itself.
Wine Tours
Discover Greece’s rich wine heritage with guided tours from this eco-friendly retreat venue. Explore vineyards in Nemea, Mantineia, and Achaia, taste indigenous varietals like Aghiorgitiko, Moschofilero, Mavrodaphne, and Roditis, and enjoy seminars on Greek wines, winemaking, and wine appreciation led by local experts.
