Getting to the island
Iraklia can be reached from Athens, as there is a ferry connection between Iraklia and Piraeus Port approximately 3 times per week.
However, the trip lasts almost 7 hours. The island is also linked with some nearby islands of the Cyclades, like Paros and Naxos.
From Naxos and Amorgos there is a local ferry, named Express Skopelitis, which departs for Iraklia and the rest of the islands of the small Cyclades group almost every day
